I have been thinking about my niche and target market. Yes, small businesses is our target market but I think we should have a niche. I will keep you posted.
My friend, Whiskers, above, would like to have you focus on your Target Market and Niche. Have you decided on your Target Market and Niche? This can be tough and to narrow your market is scary. However, everyone wants an expert. Think about finding a doctor to do your sinus surgery. Would you have your regular doctor perform the surgery? Of course not! You would research the doctors that do that type of surgery and pick the one that is the best. For me, I could pick restaurants as my niche and put together tons of ways to market a restaurant. I would be known as the cat to contact if you want to market your restaurant! With the internet you can find tons of great information on anything related to your niche and you just have to research and study and become the go to person for that niche!
Once you have your Target Market and Niche, you need to figure out what your customers or clients want. The best way is to ask your existing customers what their wants and needs are and then solve those wants and needs. If you already have clients, ask them what they like about your business and what they don't like. If you have a restaurant, ask people what they like about your restaurant. What are the foods that they like and don't like and what they would like to see on the menu. Asking your customers is an excellent way to find out what they want and need. Do a survey with your existing customers and offer them something for their feedback. Ok, it is nap time. My tiny brain needs a rest. Meow and purrs!
